1. Meaning NH₃-SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction using ammonia) is an advanced catalytic process used to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOₓ) into harmless nitrogen (N₂) and water (H₂O). In this process, ammonia (NH₃) acts as a reducing agent in the presence of a catalyst. Zeolite-type high- temperature NH₃-SCR catalysts refer to catalysts where zeolites (microporous crystalline aluminosilicates) serve as supports for active metals (e.g., Fe, Cu), enabling efficient NOₓ reduction at high temperatures (>500°C) . These catalysts are especially relevant for applications like gas turbines , where exhaust temperatures are extremely high. 2.
