 Congratulations to Dr. Naser Ahmadi on winning the Best Researcher Award. This honor recognizes his impactful contributions to psychiatry and interdisciplinary research, and his continued dedication to advancing science and patient care.


Dr. Naser Ahmadi is a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and an accomplished physician-scientist with advanced training in psychiatry, epidemiology, biostatistics, and cardiovascular imaging. He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences and completed multiple fellowships and residencies at UCLA, Chicago Medical School, and Harbor-UCLA. He currently serves as a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior and Kern Medical, while also practicing as a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in California.


Dr. Ahmadi’s work bridges psychiatry, trauma research, and cardiovascular science, with a particular focus on posttraumatic stress disorder, youth suicidality, positive psychiatry, and mind–body interactions. He has led and contributed to numerous federally funded and foundation-supported research projects, published extensively in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, and received multiple national and international research awards. In addition to his clinical and research roles, he is an active educator, mentor, and professional leader within major medical and psychiatric organizations.
